Every side of the story, in one place.
Gotonews is an independent news platform that brings together reporting from trusted publishers across the world, the USA, the UK, Pakistan and India — so you can see how a story is being covered, and read it at the source.
Our principles
We are committed to honesty, accuracy and independence. Our editorial structure is free of any biased influence, and we value every comment and suggestion from our readers.
How Gotonews works
Every 15 minutes we read the public news feeds of our sources. When several publishers report the same event, we group their articles into one story.
- Ranking. Stories are ordered by how many independent publishers are covering them, weighed against how recent they are.
- Breaking. We only label a story “Breaking” when it was first reported less than 3 hours ago and at least 3 publishers are covering it.
- Analysis and opinion. These labels appear only when the publisher itself marks a piece that way.
- Attribution. Every headline names its publisher and links to the original article. Images are the publishers’ own and are credited to them.
- Summaries. For stories covered by several outlets, a short neutral summary may be generated by AI using only those publishers’ headlines and excerpts. It is always labelled.
Publishers
We display headlines, short excerpts and links — never full articles. If you are a publisher and would like your feed added or removed, please get in touch.
